The girls love to help. It doesn't matter if it is dishes or moping the floor, they love to help. Jayda is so good at making her bed every morning. Now if I could just get them to pick up their toys :)

Drawing!

My kids have always loved to draw.(they get this talent from their Dad!) Some days that is all they want to do. They sat watching TV and drawing after school one day until dinner was ready. We have pictures all over the house that they paint, draw or color for us. I love it! :)

Spelling!

With 1st grade comes dreaded spelling words. Now, I am not a good speller by any means and I want Jayda to do well. So, thanks to my Mother-in-law, we have tried to make spelling fun.
(side note- I have been a little disappointed in the curriculum at Jayda's school and the spelling tests was one of many things I thought to be strange. In stead of actually spelling the words she has to pick the right answer out of 3 choices
i.e. The word is look. On the test it would look like this:
kloo
loko
look
and she has to circle the right one. They do it this way so when the kids take the state tests they are used to multiple questions, but I don't like the fact she doesn't actually have to write the word. So me, being the mean Mom I am, I make her spell them.)

We use the Scrabble game!

Jayce loves to use shaving cream. She practice's her letters. I think the shaving cream is the favorite!

We also paint our spelling words.

These have been a great way's for us to practice our spelling words!She has been getting 100%, so its working!!

Fun with Jaycee!

Since Jayda is at school all day Jaycee and I have a lot of time together. We have been working with her on the letters in her name. So far she knows J and A.(I have been kinda lazy lately so we haven't got to Y yet, but we will!)She knows her numbers to 4 and can count to about 6. She is getting so big.
On thing we love to do each week is go to story time. The Lawton library has a great story time with a puppet show. Jaycee LOVES it. (Jayda does too and is sad that she has school.)The fun thing is when we get home I usually get my own privet story time. She holds the books up and tells some great story's. Its so fun.

But she also likes to play with the books in other ways.

(because a book makes a great seat for your baby... right!)

Jeremy took Jayda on a date to her school’s Fall Ball.(It was a Daddy, daughter dance.)

Jayda picked out her favorite dress I did a cute up-do (It’s a good thing I do hair ,right) Even Jeremy got all dressed up.
They had dinner and Jayda danced with her Dad all night. She loved to have him twirl her.
They had such a good time. :)She talked about it for weeks.

1st tooth!

Jayda lost her 1st tooth on Sunday. She has been wiggling it for like 3 weeks. She was eating a cinnamon roll and the tooth almost came out. She was kinda scared so she cried and cried.
I don't know if you can see it slanted almost ready to fall out.

Dad tried to pull it out with dental floss, but that didn't work, so he used a tissue and pulled it out. She screamed ouch and was done.
She took her tooth and showed her sister and had smiles all-around after. ( As a side note, Mom cried.)
The tooth fairy came and left her 2 gold $1.00 coins. :)

1st Grade!!

Jayda started 1st grade!! She was soo excited to go to school. I cried. I'm so not old enough to have a 1st grader. She is going to Carriage Hills Elementary and her teacher is Mrs. McKelvey. The first day went great :) I'm so glad.

OKC Zoo

We went to the Oklahoma City Zoo yesterday. It was so much fun. What an amazing zoo.It was hot, of coarse, but we had a great time.
They had a really cool big cats area, but it was hot so we only saw the Lion.( but it was kinda far so I didn't get any pictures of it.)

The Gorilla's were cool. It was kinda open so you could see them really well. And there was like a whole family.

This is over looking the small lake there. We got some food to feed the ducks, but the huge cat fish were eating it all. Not to mention the turtles. They even have some paddle boats you can take out.

The chimpanzee's
The land of the Elephant! This place was huge!! It just opened this past March, and in April they had a baby girl. This was a fun area.
There was a barn that you went into and they had some night animals in it. These owl's were cool.

Can you see the bear to the right of the big gray rock. He had the right idea to stay cool. This is him from the other side.

They fed the bears while we were there. You could really see how big they are. And their claws!!

Then we ended the day with a ride in the zoo car!

Mt. Scott

We went on a drive a few weeks ago to Mt. Scott. (Now living in Utah my whole life Mt. Scott is a hill compared to the mountains in Utah, but it was still a nice drive.)To get to Mt. Scott we went through the Wildlife Refuge. We saw buffalo and long horn cows. ( and you don't see those in Utah)
This was the long horn, one of many we saw.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best I only had my phone with me. I wish I would have had my camera. There were about 20 or more just sitting in what shade they could find.
This is on the top of Mt. Scott. You can see how flat it is around us. I think the lake you see in one picture is Lawtonka Lake (spelling?)

This is a funny picture. Here in good old Lawton, Oklahoma the workmanship of some has a lot to be desired. We had to have the hose bid out side fixed. The plumber came and fixed, but had to cut a hole in the wall, and yes he put the cut out piece back in the wall with duct tape. :/ crazy

Our Move!!

I know this post is a LONG time coming. Our computer went down when we got here and we are just getting it up and running again. So I am finally getting around to posting about our move.
Our big adventure started on July 14th. The car and trailer were loaded and ready to go. The hard part was saying good bye.I'm still crying :( Our first day's destination was Colorado Springs, Co.(about half way, 10 hours)With 2 kids and River it was a long trip. We stopped a lot. (only once for car sickness witch I"m sooo glad. I thought it would have been more.)We made it there in about 12 hours and about 550 miles. We were so tired, the kids on the other hand were so excited to be out of the car.
Our second day was a long hot day. We traveled through New Mexico and Texas and of coarse Oklahoma.(I had never been farther east than Utah, that I remember, so it was kinda neat.) The kids were troopers. We got a little lost in Texas and went out of our way about 40 miles, but other than that we had no problems. We went about 600 and some miles witch took us about 14 hours including stops. We went about 1,200 miles total. (Man I live far away from home.)
I quickly got busy unpacking and getting organized. I like our house. It is kinda small, like 1,000 sq. ft., but its cute. The kids like it. We have had everything in storage including all of their toys, so needless to say they have had a hay-day with all their toys. It was like Christmas for them.

This is our back yard. This picture was taken in the spring when we first rented our house, so the grass is still green. Now it is all brown.
The weather here is brutal. We have had record high temperatures. Its been over 100 degrees for 60 days. It gets hot here but not usually for this long. It is the worst drought. Crops and cattle are dying. I'm dying! We haven't gone out much. It is too hot to play on the playground after 10am. We have found that the mall has a cool play area and story time at the library is fun.
Our ward is nice. Our boundaries include Fort Sill so we have new people almost every week.(as a side note all my Utah friends with a church on every corner. I drive almost 8 miles to get to church.)
Other than the crazy heat we like it here.
Jayda starts school this week. She is very excited! Oh I almost forgot Jayda has her 1st loose tooth. She said one day that her tooth hurt, but I was busy and didn't look at it for a day or two. When I did I found it was loose!! She is way excited. And she has glasses now!! She has an astigmatism and she is... what ever it is when you can't see up close. She loves them.

And our Jaycee is Jaycee! Still crazy as ever. :)

Sooo glad to have my computer back! I will try to keep you posted on all our happenings. Love and miss ya!!

Finally!!!

I could do two post's with this same title, but I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and put them together.
FINALLY!! (part one)
Jaycee has been pooping in the toilet!! This is great news, you say. I think it is WONDERFUL! If you remember a few months back I wrote about what a hard time we were having with this. I would like to say we worked so hard and did this trick and that trick, but no nothing like that happened. One day I was putting her to bed and asked if she needed to go potty she said yes and climbed up on the toilet and said the magic words... "Mom, I go poop." And that is exactly what she did! We did a little dance, we had go tell Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa. She even wanted to wake up Jayda to tell her.(witch I didn't let her do, but when she woke up the next morning the first thing she said to Jayda was "I pooped Jayda" it was too cute.)
She has done so good. So proud of my little Jaycee-lou-lou!

FINALLY!! (part two)
(This is almost as good as pooping in the potty.)
Jeremy got a job! Woo hoo! After 13 months of lovely unemployment, (I'm being sarcastic) he has found a job. You can do a little dance here, I did!
Its a company called Picerne Military Housing. He will be Quality, Health and Safety Manager for military housing at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma.(Its very similar to the job he had in Spokane.) He starts April 18th.
We are very excited about this opportunity. Although maybe a little apprehensive to move, but this must be where the Lord needs us. I just hope we don't get blown away in a tornado or bitten by any snakes or any of the other creatures that live in the middle of nowhere. :D

This is the only mountain in Oklahoma, Mt Scott of the Wichita Mountains. (err.... Hills)
Jeremy will be going down in April, and me and the kids will be coming down this summer...in the 110 degree 100% humidity heat (Can you tell how excited I am :D ).
I am really grateful for this opportunity and keep us in your prayers that this all works out.

Jayda is 6!!

Here it is a week later, and now we are celebrating Jayda's 6th birthday. WOW! I can not believe it has been that long. We waited so long to get pregnant with her that what a joy it was to bring her into this world. And what an exciting event it was. She is such a joy and is getting so big.I am so proud of her, she loves school and recently got a Soaring Eagle Award at school.(it is an award for meeting certain requirements.) She tries so hard to do what's right.
We love you Jayda, happy birthday!

(I feel bad I don't have any pictures when she was a baby, we didn't get our digital camera until Jaycee was born and I haven't scanned any of our older pic's)

They grow way to fast!!! I can't believe its been 3 years since this wonderful, crazy thing came into my life.I can still remember the day you were born like it was yesterday.
It snowed that day and there was an earthquake somewhere in Nevada.
You had the most perfect round head ( thanks to the c-section) and red hair.
I'm so blessed to have you in my home.

Why Can't She Just Go to Sleep!!

I think of myself as a good mom. I try to be loving and kind and I work hard to give my kids what they need. But some days.......
Jaycee is the sweetest thing so funny and silly, but the girl won't go to bed at night. She was never a very good napper. Jayda took two naps a day until she was like 1 1/2. Jaycee..... no, she was to busy to take more than one nap a day after about 9 months.
Evry night this is our routine.
7:00- bath (if its bath night)
7:30ish- scirpture's and prayer
7:45 ish- read (for about 20 minutes)
and a little after 8:00 its bed time.
I rock her for a little while and after a few minutes I put her in bed.
It NEVER fails, about 5 to 10 minutes later she comes and finds me.
"I poop Mom." she says. (as a side note: We have been potty training her and she is wonderful during the day. She tells us when she needs to go and rarely has an accident. A night we still put her in a pull-up. I am thinking that this might be part of the problem, because she won't poop in the toilet, she wait's until the pull-up goes on.)
So I go and change her, like the good Mom I am, maybe rock her some more and put her back in bed.
Sometimes not even 5 minutes after I put her to bed I hear her up and about. So I let her "play or read" for a little while and then I go back in to remind her that it is bed time, not play time.
This will sometimes go on until 11:00!!!
I love my little Jaycee,
BUT WHY CAN'T SHE JUST GO TO SLEEP!!!

It has been awhile since I have blogged or even read some of my friends blogs. (I know I'm just terrible.)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Idaho with Jeremy's parent's. We had wonderful food (thanks Kris and Kenney) and went shopping on black Friday a family tradition.
Christmas was good the kids got spoiled thanks to Grandma. But I didn't do to bad myself. I got a nice new camera! I have been trying to take more pictures.
We, like so many others have been sick since at least Thanksgiving. We just keep passing it around the house.
Jeremy is still looking for work. We are going on 1 year! Sooo stressful. We still have had many blessings.
Here are a few pictures of some of the things we have been doing.

I haven't been very good at keeping this up, but I have some cute pic's from Halloween that I wanted to share.
We started the month with conference weekend and while the men went to priesthood session we did crafts with the kids. Jaycee saying "cheese"

I was very excited about this. It has been hard on Jayda, she loved her teacher, Mrs. Taintor and she had some good friends. She seems to like her new school and her new teacher Ms. Z. And she is getting some new friends.
And finally how can we not play in the leaves!!

I have been really bad at posting this summer's fun stuff, so you are getting it all at once.We have made a lot of Zoo trips and Jayda started school. We also made a trip to the Cooper Mine. I am so proud of myself! My sister got the sewing bug, (she made robes for her kids!) so now it has passed to me. ( well, forced on me, my kids now want robes like their cousins) So, I headed to the fabric store. While there I found some VERY cute material to make sun dresses! They turned out too cute, and were very easy to make! Jayda, Jaycee and my niece Regan got one.

On Saturday night I did pedicures for the kids. Now that was an adventure. No it was was fun. We soaked our feet, (that was more for my benefit, all those stinky kid feet) and trimmed nails, and the best part a foot massage! The best of all, painting toe nails! Spencer got blue toes,( his dad hates that he likes to have his nail's painted)Jaycee got orange toes and purple fingers, Jayda got pink with purple stripes, and Regan got two shades of pink and purple stripes.

By the way if you are wondering about the Avitar back ground, Jayda picked it out. She loves Avitar (all though we have yet to see it)

We have a really hard time getting our sweet Jaycee to go to sleep at night. She will play and play. When we check on her she has pooped. A few nights ago I went to the room to get her to go asleep and this is what I found. I just don't know what to say! At lest it wasn't poop and they were washable.

Riding Lawnmower!

Grandpa loves to give the kids a ride on his riding lawnmower. (Last year Jayda didn't want anything to do with it.) Grandpa mowed the other day and Jayda was watching making sure he was doing it right. He asked if she wanted a ride and she was quick to say no, but Jaycee piped up and said "I do!" Once Jayda saw Jaycee do it she was up for the challenge. Grandpa even let her steer.

Its been a long time since I have posted anything. We have had 2 birthday's and many other things have happened.
First Jayda and Jaycee's birthdays. We didn't do much, they each got a cake (Jaycee's chocolate and Jayda's pink.)Jaycee turned two so what do you do with a two year old. Give them some new toys and lots of sugar.
Jayda had a birthday celebration at school so she got to be line leader and bring a special snack for all her friend's. Her teacher even gave her a book.
February started started out kinda rough for us. Jeremy lost his job.We knew he would be losing his job, but we didn't think it would happen until April or May. But things are working out well for us. We have moved back to Utah and are living with my parents. We have felt very blessed and know that Jeremy will find a job.
My sister was able to visit us in Spokane before we moved. I hope she will agree but we had a ton of fun! We showed them the sights, but most important we spent some good quality time together. It was a blast!

Elefun!

We have this great game we love to play called Elefun. The kids have a blast playing it. How the game is played is you put butterfly's in the elephant and he blows them out his trunk. It takes 60 seconds for all the butterfly's to "fly" out and you gather them back and the fun begins again!

Oops is right! Friday something just terrible happened. We were working so hard to get ready for school.

We were in the bathroom getting ready. Jayda had just gone potty and was getting her favorite headband out to put in her hair. It slipped out of her hand and into the toilet it went. Jayda was fast to grab it before it went down.
Jayda crying, "Mom, it has toilet paper on it, and pee!"
Well,needless to say, we didn't wear our favorite headband that day.

Two In One!

This post should really be two posts but I didn't get around to posting the first event by the time we had the second. The Puppet Show! Tuesday morning we were just hanging out. I was trying to clean and pick up and the girls were playing. Jayda got the great idea of having a puppet show. So I put her in the hamper and always a shadow Jaycee wanted to play. So she went in a hamper as well. It was too cute to pass up on the photo op or to get some video. Jaycee in her hamper. Jayda playing puppet show.

Ice Skating!
We went ice skating with Jayda's preschool. Jemery took the day off to join in the fun. (I just didn't want to take both girl's by myself.) It was so much fun. Jayda was very excited about going. When we got there she was quick to put her ice skates on and was ready to go. She did great walking around in her skates, but wasn't so sure about them when she got on the ice. She cryed and was shaking so bad. So off the ice she went, to return a little later with her shoes on. "Ice skating is much better with your shoes on, Mom" She said. Jayda with her skates on and ready to go! Jayda with some of her friends from school. Her class. (along with parents)

Where's Jayda?

When I work Jeremy is the one in charge. (so the house is a mess and I find strange things in strange places.)One night on the drive home, (Jeremy sometimes drives me to work) he was telling me what they did. The story goes as follows.
Jeremy: You know the entertainment center?"
Me: "Yes"- with hesitation
Jeremy: " I was playing my game one the computer and next thing I couldn't find Jayda."
Me: "What!?!"
Jeremy: "She can fit into the entertainment center!"
Me: "What!?!" (I could just imagine the mess I was coming home to tonight!)
Jeremy: " Yeah, she fits into the entertainment center, with ALL the movies in it."
Anyway seeing is believing!

Merry Christmas or is it Happy New Year!?!

So I didn't get around to doing a post for Christmas so you are going to get a little of both.
Christmas was great! We spent Christmas Eve at a friend in our ward's house. We had a blast. They were a fun bunch!(I didn't fell so homesick)
The girls got what they wanted from Santa. We had a good time.
New Years was fun. We stayed home ate, played games and watched Harry Potter. The girls even made it to midnight!

Jaycee is famous for not taking naps. Today was no exception. After an hour or so of singing and playing (she also likes to hit or kick at the wall for attention) I go into her room to find that she has gotten into the hamper and pulled out her p.j.'s1 What a silly girl.

1st Primary Program!

Jayda had her 1st Primary Program on Sunday. She did suc a good job! She sang the song's so well. And her part was with her whole class. The said "My family can be together FOREVER. It was to cute."

This was something I could not pass up the photo op. Jayda is a BIG helper, before church Jayda helped Jaycee put on her shoes. She asked me what shoe was left and right, then she had to ask me witch foot was Jaycee's left and her right. Too cute!

Trick or Treat

We had a GREAT Halloween. Jayda was Violet from the Incredible's and Jaycee was the cutest dog! Jayda was looking forward to trick or treating all week, and when we went out she kept saying that this was so fun. It didn't take long for Jaycee to catch on. She was quick to hold her bag up for candy and by the end of the night she was saying trick or treat.(or her version of trick or treat) We had tons of fun!

Pumpkins!!

Carving pumpkins is great. We always have so much fun doing this. This year we picked our pumpkins in Green Bluff. (if you remember the strawberry's we picked this summer it is the same place.) We had a great time. We went through a hay maze, played in a hay box and watched a pumpkin get launched hundreds of yards in the air and come smashing to the earth. It was a ton of fun.
Jayda's pumpkin is a spider. Jaycee's is a monster (I thought it was appropriate) Jeremy's is a dead mommy (that is what Jayda call's it.) Mine is a silly face.

Keeping an old friend

So, after much thought, (and a little fighting) we decided to keep River. Jayda finally told us she bit his ear and that is why he bit her. (Jeremy told Jayda if River ever bit her she needs to bit his ear. Well, this works well for Dad,who is the alpha male, but Jayda is half his size and to young to know when it really needs to be done. This has been an argument in our house for a little while. I hate the fact Jeremy told her this.) We thought the cause of the bite was probably her biting him, but she never said. We now keep a very close eye on the kids and have also talked about not biting him or climbing on him. The shelter we talked to said that dogs discipline puppies by biting across the nose. Unfortunately we have soft tissue on our faces so the discipline does more damage. They also said he bit once and that was it. It was like him saying I've had enough. If the bite would have been on an arm or leg then that would have been a more aggressive bite. I still get very nervous, but knowing it wasn't out of aggression makes me fell a little better. I just hope it never happens again. If it does he doesn't get to say sorry.

1st ER Visit!

Our Saturday was like many others. Jeremy mowed the lawn I did some house work and then worked in the yard a bit. We came inside got some lunch, Jaycee went down for a nap. I was thinking it would be great to take a nap myself before I had to go to work. Well, that changed drastically.
Jeremy and I were getting cleaned up after all our yard work and we heard a ferocious growl and then Jayda crying. If you own a dog this is your worst nightmare. We rushed out to find Jayda holding her face laying next to River.
I got Jayda up and rushed to the bathroom, where on closer look, I knew we need to go to the ER. Even if we didn't need stitches it needed to be looked at. So off we went.
We arrived at the ER around 2:30pm and found that most of Spokane was there as well. We singed in and found a seat. (trying hard not to sit by anyone who was to sick.)The wait began. (After a few minutes we started talking to our "neighbors" to find one couple had been there since 10:30 that morning)
Finally by about 5:30pm we went back to see a Dr. The nurse's were so nice they got Jayda a bear, ( witch by chance was red witch is her favorite color!She has given it the name Fuzzy.) they cleaned the bite and checked things out. The Dr. came in and was great. He looked at Jayda and and said no stitches. (Although it was a good puncture wound they don't usually stitch up animal bites because of the bacteria from the animal.)
So by 6:30pm we were on our way home with a prescription for anti-biotics and directions to keep it clean and watch for an infection.
WOW! I always hoped, that was a visit we would never have to do. Now we are fighting about what is next. Putting River down. He has been a member of our family for 9 years. But we always said if bites he is gone. Its much harder than I ever thought it would be.( I'll post more about that later. In Washington its law that he has to be quarantined for 10 day's before he can be put down.)
Needless to say Jayda is doing great. I think the medication gave her an upset tummy today, but we took it with food tonight and so far so good. When we got home River licked her as he walked by and she said that he said he was sorry. Brooke my heart. Jayda was so brave, so as a reward we went to Red Robin for dinner.(I'm not sure who it was a reward for, Jayda for being so good or Mom and Dad to de-stress a bit.)

Walter's Fruit Farm!

Jayda had her first field trip with her preschool to Walter's Fruit Farm. We took a short tractor ride to the apple orchard and "Poor" Farmer Mert told them about apple blossoms and how bee's help in pollinating the apple trees. He even lifted up his sweatshirt to reveal a T-shirt that had bugs on it that are good for the trees. Then the kids got to pick an apple off the tree to eat.Jayda picked a red one, its her favorite color. It was soo yummy! Then they took them in where they make apple cider and they got a taste of that. The top floor of the store over looks Mt. Spokane, soo beautiful. Upstairs they got a taste of apple butter, yummy! After all that excitement they was still more. Jayda got to pick a pumpkin! What a fun filled day!

We had a WONDERFUL two week trip to Salt Lake! We had a ton of fun, family and friends.Watched my nephews play football(go Skyline and Hunter!).Jayda had soo much fun playing with her cousin's. We ate at all our favorite restaurant's that we have missed so much.
We made a trip to the Zoo and saw all the new baby animals.(10 species had baby's this summer!)

We enjoyed Wheeler Farm.
We went to Temple Square and walked around the temple. (That is one thing I don't think I ever did with my kids, other than Christmas time, when we lived there. I wish we would have done it more often what a great teaching experiance.)

We also went to the aquarium, I shocked myself on the new electric eel display! The highlight of the trip was the circus and the elephant parade!

You would think that spending two weeks in SLC we would have done everything and seen everyone we wanted, but maybe next time!
We miss everyone so much, but you know our door is always open!

Jayda's "Cross Stitch"

I have recently found/remembered I had a cross stitch that I have been working on for , I don't know, maybe 7 years. So I have gotten it out and started working on it. Well, Jayda has been fascinated by watching me, so I got out a few things and taught her how to cross stitch (sort of). She is having a lot of fun. She is making something for her Grandma!

Pizza Night!

Last night we stayed home and made pizza! I even made the dough, with help from my little helpers! Jayda loves to help. She mixed the dough and did a pretty good job of rolling it out. Jaycee "helped" as well. She did a good job of eating the olives.

I Love Nursery !

I think they should let kids go to nursery much sooner then 18 months! Jaycee is such a wild girl! Some Sundays I wonder why I even bother to go to church. I don't get to listen to the talks in sacrament and forget Sunday school. And some times the stars are aligned and she is good during young women(I am the beehive adviser), but more often then not she is all over the place.
Today in sacrament I don't remember how many times I took her out and Jeremy took her at least twice, by Sunday school I was wanting to give her away, but I had an idea. I thought-she is almost 18 months take her to nursery and sit in and see how she does. So I went in and asked if it was OK if she was there. I started to show her some toys and Sister Golding (one of the nursery leaders)bless her heart said the magic words. " I think she will be fine if you want to leave her." I almost did a little dance on my way back to Sunday school Jaycee-less! The lesson was wonderful!!
Jaycee did great in nursery. She played and of coarse had snacks. She hid in the corner when the boys started to wrestle and play, she wasn't to sure about that.(She is the only girl in nursery until the end of the year.)
So this was a great Sunday. And I WILL be taking Jaycee to nursery again next week!!

Heart Biscuists!

This morning i decided to make biscuit's. Jayda LOVES to help. So we start mixing thing up and i ask her to get me the rolling pin. She finds the rolling pin and quickly spots the cookie cutters. Next I hear "Mom! Can we make heart biscuit's? There is even a little one for Jaycee." So we made heart biscuit's. Big ones for Jayda and small ones for Jaycee.

Pickin Strawberry's!

On Saturday we went to Green Bluff,(it is a small farming community here in Washington) that every year they let people come to their farms and pick fruit and vegetable's (depending on whats in season) and picked strawberry's! We had so much fun! The girls loved it. Jayda was so good at picking the ripe ones and Jaycee was good at eating the ripe ones.(she had about 5 or 6 while we were picking)They give you little boxes to put your strawberry's in and drive you out to the field(or you can walk) drop you off, you pick what you want and they come back and pick you up. We picked 6 lbs. of strawberry's! So we came home and made home made ice cream and had strawberry short cake for dessert on Sunday! We are hoping to go back this next Saturday to pick more so I can make jam!

Jayda got a new bike today! She loves it. We have had a few crashes already, but she gets right back up and rides some more! It is her Grandma's favorite color,(witch is blue)and she has named it Bikey. She is afraid of the street, so she only goes in circles in the driveway.(its easy to keep an eye on her in the driveway)

WOW! It has been too long since I've blogged. The weather has been nice so we have been outside and at friends house's, it's been great!
We are loving Spokane! We go on Sunday drives to wherever the road takes us. A few Sunday's ago we went up Mt. Spokane.(We didn't go all the way, it was getting late and the kids were getting tiered of being in the car.) What a beautiful drive.
Jayda is really into the color red right now so any thing that is red is either good to eat or her favorite. Every Sunday after primary we ask her what she learned and the answer is always "We learned about Jesus.", last Sunday we got "We learned about faces." I about jumped up and down, she remembered what she learned. She is getting so big!
Jaycee is getting crazier and crazier.(If crazier is a word.) She is all over the place and into what ever she can get into. Her favorite thing to do is push the baby stroller around, and I have to say she is pretty good. She already saying a few words. She says Momma, Dada, dogie, baby, and Jayda. I think the other day she even said River(our dog). One night I was putting her to bed and she could hear Daddy telling Jayda a bedtime story and she waved her little hand and said "Jayda, Dada bye bye." Soo cute!
Jeremy and I are good although less interesting than the kids. Jeremy is very busy at work, So many houses to build, so little time. And I stay busy with the kids.
I need to go get ready for story time. Next time I'll post some pic's!

We had great Easter. We had a visit from the Easter Bunny who brought us TONS of candy. He also heard Jayda wanted the movie Bolt so he brought that too. He gave Jaycee a "puppy" that barks and moves. She loves it even if it doesn't give her "kisses". (she LOVES doggy kisses, Mom not so much.) Jeremy tried out our new BBQ and made us some wonderful stakes. They where delicious. Then as it should be Jeremy did the dishes while Jaycee and Mom took a nap. I love lazy Sundays.

We have spent the last two weeks in Utah! We had a great time! While there we had Jayda's birthday party. It was a princess tea party! It was a lot of fun! Thanks Grandma ans Grandpa for letting us turn your house into the party place.

Its birthday time at our house. Jaycee (Feb 21st) and Jayda's (Feb. 28th) birthdays are only a week apart. (thanks to my Mom for cursing me with that.) We decided to celebrate both birthdays on Jaycee's day.( we will be in Salt Lake for Jayda's birthday and Jayda is having a party with friends at that time.) So my day starts as follows. Well, maybe I should back up a bit. This week Jaycee has had this strange gaging thing going on. No temp and she threw up only once. (I think only because she was gagging so hard that she threw up.) Strange. Well Saturday we get up and get going. While changing a poopy diaper I noticed something shiny. Don't worry Jaycee just pooped out a PENNY!!!! Oh my gosh! I'm so lucky she didn't get really sick. So for Jaycee's first birthday she had a penny! Our day went on without any more problems and no more money where it shouldn't be. That night we had french bread pizza and open presents. Jaycee gets a cool shopping cart from Grandma and Grandpa, witch she pushes around putting anything she can in it. From Grandma and Grandpa she also got a baby doll and cloths. From Mom and Dad she got a elephant train that pulls animals around and from Jayda she got a stuffed dog. Jayda gets from Grandma And Grandpa a princess phone and camera that she has wanted since Christmas. She also got a mail box( hint she loves to get mail.) And a ballerina Barbie. she also got cloths, for her and her Barbies. Mom and Dad gave her a Barbie that washes her dogs and Madagascar 2. Jaycee gave her littlest pet shop toys.

After all that it was time for cake! The cake was good. It had red frosting on the edge so Jaycee was a red mess!

So we have done Christmas without family and now birthdays. I'm getting to be a pro.

I still wish I had my family with me to do these things. I miss everyone so much. But in a few days we will be there to visit and pretty soon you will want us to go home.

Our house has sold!( well, almost)

We have accepted an offer and the paper work is in motion! What a relief!

But I'm felling a little sad about selling it.

It was our first house. Both our girls where born while living there.

We LOVED the neighborhood.(all but the crazy James family that lived around the corner.)

And we made some good friends there.

I will always have good memories of that house.

Now we are starting new memories in a new house.

Although we love Spokane it is difficult living somewhere new and meeting new people.

My Little Helpers

Since our move to Spokane I am now a stay-at-home-Mom. I LOVE IT!! The girls are growing up so much, and so fast. We have our days, but its wonderful.

I've been thinking a lot about my Mom and all that she did when we were growing up. I'm positive we drove her crazy. She worked so hard to keep the house clean and us entertained. I'm discovering that it is hard work, and during the winter its even harder. I sit back sometimes and wonder how you did it Mom.

The girls love to help me in the kitchen. Jeremy's sister, Heather, made Jayda and I matching aprons for Christmas witch Jayda loves for both of us to were them when I'm cooking. She says " Mom you will get dirty, put on your Cooker Girl." (that is what she calls our aprons.) Jaycee thinks she can help as well. All she is good at is making a bigger mess. (See picture of her in/on the dishwasher.) She thinks whatever goes in the dishwasher must come out-immediately!

We are having fun to say the least!

Snow update

So we are up to 59 inches! That is the most snow Spokane has ever seen in one month since they started keeping records in 1881!!

So I think I'm officially sick of the snow. We have ,like 100,000 inches. Well, not really ,but when you shovel it fells like that much. I think our snow totals are about 2 to 3 feet now! It's crazy.

Christmas was great. Everyone got what they wanted.(I think)
Jeremy got a ipod nano(spelling?) He has put about 1,000 songs on it already.
Jaylynn got a digital picture frame. I love it!!
Jayda got a Leapfrog Tag reading system. She loves to read so she loves this.
Jaycee got a Leapfrog table toy. She stands up to it and dances.

It was strange not being with family this year, but we did alright. I made a ham, scalloped potatoes and veggies. Dinner was good! I did okay without my Mom. We took a drive to see the Spokane Temple. It's small, but we look forward to visiting it.

Things are going good.(other than all the snow) We have met some of our neighbors and our ward is really nice. Jeremy likes his job and I'm getting used to staying home, although all I feel like I've done is shovel snow. We miss all our friends and loved the Christmas cards! We hope you have a Happy New Year!!

Jayda has been begging to play in the snow. Well, today we had snow, a lot of snow. So she played in it while I shoveled the walks(twice).

Our Move

So we are officially Spokanese. We are all moved in. (Thanks to my Mom and Dad.) Everything went really well.

The movers finished packing in one day, and our stuff was loaded the next and on the road that very day. So we left a day earlier than planed to meet the movers here in Spokane on Friday morning. We drove the 13 hour drive in two days. We stopped in Butte, Mt for the night. The drive went really good , we ran into snow just before Butte and had to put the car in four wheel drive.( We were towing our travel trailer witch made the drive a little more difficult.) Jeremy did a wonderful job getting us here safely.

We arrived in Spokane on Thursday December 4th at about 3:00 pm. And that was the first time to see where I was going to be spending the next 2 years. (I had never seen the house until that day.) I love the house. Jeremy did a wonderful job picking it out.

We are renting because we are only going to be here for such a short time. So rent means you want to keep the house nice enough to get your deposit back, right? The first night there we went to dinner and left River home alone.(locked in the basement) Not a good idea, he tried to claw his way out. Not good. than Monday I tryed to drive the car through the garage door. The release latch was hanging far down, well I closed it into the car door and started to back up. The door started to come down. All I could think was Jeremy was going to kill me. But my Dad saved the day. He was able to fix the door and there, luckily, was no damage done to the car.

So we are off to a great start. Tuesday Jaycee falls down the stairs! Ouch!! Mom and I were unpacking and not paying to much attention and down she went. She is a tough bird. Only a bump on her head and a bruise across her nose. I took pictures. It looks like I beat her.

All in all we really like Spokane. I am even find my way around. We feel at home here. We really don't feel we have gone to far from our West Valley home. In West Valley we lived on Grovewood Cir. and My brother , Greg lived about a block away on Woodgrove Dr. Our neighborhood was full of streets that had something to do with trees. There was Lemonwood, Woodgrove, Grovewood.(you get the idea) Our new neighborhood is very similar. We live on Fleetwood off Alpine and so forth. Well, Greg we found your street. You can move in at any time!!

We miss everyone!! Our door is always open for visits!

Getting ready

So our move is in about a week.(!?!) I have not yet seen the house. (!?! I have seen pictures) Jeremy reassures me it's wonderful. He has met a neighbor and the ward clerk.(who is also new to the area) I really think we are going to love Spokane.

I don't have to do much for the move. The movers will pack everything (but open liquids). I 'm not sure what to do with myself. We will be living out of suitcases for about a week. So I have given myself the job of getting together every thing I'm going to need for a week. Jeremy is going to LOVE all the bags and stuff I have put together for that!

We are trying to make the move easy for Jayda and Jaycee. Grandma has been great and got the girls some new toys for the drive. We will bring her favorite toys along as well. Jeremy has made Jayda's room really special by putting a pink border with princess in her room. (This is for Jenny) Jaycee still doesn't say much about the move.

We are looking forward to our new adventure. We will miss friends and family terribly.

This last Saturday was my last day at work. Now I am a stay at home mom. WOW! It was a hard day. I have been at the salon for almost 9 years!! We are friends not just coworkers. That goes for customers as well. I will miss everything about working( Jeremy says I don't work I gossip all day. I think that's what I'll miss most). I hope I can stay in touch. I haven't been working for what, 3 days now and I had to ask Melanie what day it was yesterday. Here I come Young and the Restless!!

Our Spokane Trip

So we are really moving!! The girls and I made the trip to Spokane to house hunt. We are planing to rent a house, at least until our house sells. We found several places we liked, even a house with a pink room for Jayda.(When we told her we were moving we told her maybe our new house would have a pink room for her.) We loved Spokane.

I was really worried about flying with the girls by myself. We got Jayda a new coloring book, some stickers, we even browed Grandmas CD player and some music for the fight. I armed myself with gum for Jayda's ears and a sucker for the baby.( Jaycee doesn't like a pacifier.) The girls were amazing we didn't even use half the stuff I brought. Jayda liked to look out the window and the baby fell asleep. They loved the snacks on the plane. In fact when we went home Jayda was real quick to ask for some cookies.

The first day we spent it at Jeremy's work. Everyone was so nice and the girls thought Daddy's work was pretty cool. We watched Fox and the Hound on the big 52in. TV. Matt( a coworker- I'm not sure his title) kept giving Jayda M&M's, and Jason ( project engineer) gave Jayda a toy boat that Jayda thought was a car.

The next day I met Jason's wife, Jenny. She was so nice, and our kids are about the same age.(a boy that just turned 4 and a 6 month old girl)We went to McDonald's and then to a play place. The kids really hit it off and so did Jenny and I.

Jayda loved her Daddy's apartment, she thought it was the coolest thing. Any time we asked what we should do she wanted to go to Daddy's apartment. We really liked Spokane. It was hard to leave Jeremy, but it won't be long for us to make the move.

As a side note thanks Greg for ALL you have done for me while Jeremy's been gone. I LOVE TONS!!!( I don't say that enough.) I will miss you so much.

This last Friday we went to Melanie's and Randy's and carved pumpkins. We had a good time. Jayda was so good about cleaning her pumpkin out. As you can see she wanted a smiley face. Mine is the Harry Potter castle and Jeremy's is "Jack Sparrow". Jayda is going to be Mariposa. ( a barbie fairy princess) She can't wait to go trick or treating. I'm not sure what Jaycee is going to be, maybe a lady bug.

Jeremy is now in Spokane. He drove there on Saturday. He is settling in. Trying to find his way around. We (me and the girls) are going to Spokane next Sunday. Now that should be fun. We will be looking for somewhere to live. Jeremy has an Uncle that has a duplex that we may rent. What a new adventure!

I'm finally posting my own blog. (now you can stop bothering me Greg)

For those of you who may not know, we are moving to Spokane, Washington. Jeremy leaves on Saturday the 27th, and I will be following shortly after Thanksgiving.We are so excited for this new Adventure. Jayda says there are lots of horses and cows in Spokane, and that she wants to fly there on a really small plane. Jaycee doesn't say much of anything about it.

Jeremy is starting for a new company called, Balfour Beatty Construction, and is really excited about working for what looks like a really good company. He will be building military housing on Fairchild AFB to start out and who knows from there. Jaylynn will hopefully be staying home with the kids.

We are not sure of our new address yet, but we will let you know as soon as we do.
